There’s a lot we can learn from children when it comes to problem solving and creativity. They laugh, they experiment, they ask questions, they draw, they don’t care what other people think. They don’t see a right way and a wrong way. They’re playful.
- Somewhere along the line this gets educated out of us. We hit the workplace, sit at our computers and look serious.
- But such qualities can be useful in a commercial setting, where new ideas and strategies provide huge value.
Our Breakfast Tasters combine a fantastic breakfast in a central London location with some invaluable business learning and a chance to network.
It’s a highly-interactive chance to be a kid again and prove that, maybe, all this growing-up lark might be inhibiting our ability to consider and generate new ideas.
This part of the taster (yes, there is more) will be led by Harriet Frost whose background is in advertising and media and who now helps businesses “creatively problem solve”.
From problem to solution – session 2
Nick Cromwell, who has over twenty years’ experience in management and personal development, will also be presenting a session at this taster. An expert in leadership and management coaching, he’ll provide an introduction to coaching in a business context.
He’ll pass on tips on how you can help your colleagues create movement away from a problem towards a solution. His talk will be interactive and include tips on how to really listen.
