The Coach House tutors

They are among the best qualified, most experienced Executive Coaches in the world with thousands of hours coaching under their belts and a wealth of coaching industry and professional body experience. They understand (and in some cases have written) the standards expected by the profession.

All our tutors have lived experience of developing and running their own coaching practices. Some have psychology backgrounds, others bring strong corporate experience. All are committed to enabling you to be the best coach that you can be.

Helen Tiffany

The Coach House programme’s Director, founder and MD of Bec Development, Helen is a leading coaching and training provider. She has been a professional coach for over 15 years and has extensive experience working with senior management teams and board directors. Helen is one of a few Accredited Master Executive Coaches in the UK.

Lynne Cooper

Lynne has over 18 years’ commercial experience in management roles and over 15 years’ experience in coaching and facilitating. She is an accredited coaching supervisor and trains coaches and managers in coaching skills. Lynne is also a leading developer of Clean coaching approaches including the Five-Minute Coach approach.

Jo Smith

Jo’s work as a tutor for The Coach House is the culmination of a lifetime’s learning and people development experience. She is a hugely experienced executive coach with over 2,000 hours team and individual coaching experience acquired over a 20 year period. Jo is also a trained and practising coach supervisor.

Her own successful coaching practice has been built flexibly around the needs of her family. Prior to setting up her own practice, Jo was an HR Director in a global manufacturing environment. As well as her accreditation as a Master Executive Professional Coach, Jo is a qualified teacher and holds a degree in psychology. Her teaching experience is invaluable in developing the training materials for The Coach House.

Christian van Nieuwerburgh

A respected executive coach, internationally-recognised academic and sought-after consultant, Christian is an international authority in the field of coaching and he speaks at conferences worldwide. He is the Editor in Chief of Coaching: An International Journal of Theory, Research and Practice and is author of several books including Advanced Coaching Practice: Inspiring Change in Others.

Nick Cromwell

A highly experienced executive coach and coach supervisor with extensive experience across a broad range of business sectors, Nick provides individual supervision for trainees in the Coach House programme and facilitates group supervision for Coach House graduates. He sees coaching supervision as an opportunity for coaches to receive emotional support, to evaluate the service they provide to their clients and to develop new skills. It’s also fun!

All of our tutors have been part of the Association for Coaching in senior roles and understand how to navigate the requirements of professional membership and support accreditation and professional memberships, as well as having developed some of the vast array or materials offered to coaches by professional bodies.
