Leadership & Diversity in Business – for you and your organisation

There’s now so much evidence showing how greater diversity and inclusion makes a positive impact on business performance. There are few leaders that would argue it’s not important, both on moral and competitive grounds.

Yet, despite a lot of focus and effort being paid to it, many organisations struggle to make the gains they’re seeking.  As with any change programme, the role of leaders in creating greater diversity and inclusion is key.

Dr. Gillian Shapiro draws on her recent research and the experience of leading organisations in this field to share how leaders both individually and collectively can make a real difference in building on the business benefits of diversity and inclusion.

Dr. Shapiro specialises in organisation development and change projects focused on inclusion and diversity. Over the last twenty years Gillian has worked with FTSE 100 companies, public and third sector organisations. She was senior research fellow at the Centre for Research in Innovation Management within the University of Brighton Business School – leading pan-European research programmes on employee diversity and engagement.

Helen Tiffany, founder of Bec Development, will also be sharing her insights from coaching senior women in business.  Helen specialises in developing people in management and leadership roles and has been facilitating workshops in this field for over 15 years.
